Are those Jaycar switches JJ. They look the same as my switch for my IPF's.

Something like a 1n4004, pretty basic diode, so you're going to run an extra switch besides the auto-off-manual switch then?
I just realised there is a mistake with the circuit, the bottom LED is only there if the extra switch is used, ie a trans temp or 4wd input, but there should be a LED in parallel with R1 to indicate "auto" mode, I'll have to redraw it...

Ok the drawing has been revised....
Please note that if the trans temp or 4wd control is not required then SW3 and LED3 is not needed, also note that if this input is required then the "off" position on the switch will NOT diasble the fans if this input is enabled!
