I have a 12/12 build 3.6 wrangler. Bought it sight unseen 2.5 years ago with 45000km on it.
Use it mainly for looking for gold so is smashed through the bush a lot. Now has 150000km and has been faultless, only real repair has been a starter motor.
Haha still on the original brake pads
Has been an outstanding car and although I wouldn’t mind a JL I think I will keep the jk for a lot longer yet.

Personally I wouldn't touch a CRD not that I've owned a CRD Wrangler just Patrols and 200 series Landcruiser which gave me nothing but trouble.
I've had a Rubi auto since 2014 and haven't looked back. The V6 is great on fuel for a petrol also.

Have had a 2010 CRD for many years now. Done over 100k & only repair was a wheel sensor & a transmission oil change. Changed oil & filter every 10k & am coming up for a new CB. Engine pulls like a tractor & there is no way I would go for a petrol. However I did disconnect EGR & fitted a Provent. when first purchasing the jeep. The engine uses no oil between changes.

2012-2013 3.6 is a good engine, just had a finicky oil cooler housing that a simple breakage became an expensive repair.

Auto Rubicon is a great off road drive. There will be likely several Sport/Overland models with lockers installed that will have similar offroad prowess as the Rubicon but possibly different gearing and front axle type (as well as the sway bar disconnect system, which is a great asset, but ultimately not necessary)

The one in the ad you posted looks good. I have concerns about rolling 35" tyres on a 4" lift if it isn't engineered - it might create a registration issue in your state. Also if its already done one engine and now has a new engine, I'd like to see a full service history before moving forward. The diesel is a good engine, though I have found that the exhaust crossover is a little exposed under the car and looks prone to some off road damage.

If they had've made a diesel rubicon I'd have bought one myself.
