Hi jklad
Thanx for the kind comments - I love the soft tops I went twice round oz in my tj (and occasionally wished for a hard top) with the soft top.

Now I have a jk and a hard top I never use it - it just sits in storage - I won't sell it because you never know lol

As far as long distance touring goes - the 2dr jk is great - I have made up large drawers to replace the back seat and the roof top is very comfortable
Jax & I did just under 10,000 kms and are looking forward to the Sydney Jeep Club cape trip later this year
Cheers Hunty

We were at Stockton on the 2nd of Jan, it turned out to be a full blown recovery fest. Recovered a Jackaroo bogged to the axles with a trailer in tow, A Rodeo running at 28 PSI, A Prado, A Kia Sportage with a blown engine. The Jackaroo turned out to be a real challenge with the weight of the trailer and soft sand. Ended up using 2 Jeeps to pull it out. We were enjoying it but forgot to click any pics of the recoveries...

The guy made his son get out in his jocks to connect the strap!! He was soooo sure that his car was better than the jeep and it would make it out....
