I know there are two different rate springs for the front and the guy I bought through made doubly sure he had the correct model. Always worth asking what the load rating is to see if they're the same as other brands.

Ask ARB what the load rating is on their front springs and then ask other suppliers.

I have 300kg constant load rears, can't remember the front, but I think it was about 50kg more than mine for the HD ones.

Default Ebay Lift Kit?

Hey guys. Bought a kj a week ago and been extensively researching lifts. Would kill for a full murchison setup but budget and necessity means no. I'm not a full serious 4x4 guy just want to take my family on the beach etc. Also just want the 2" lift for the aesthetic appeal paired with a set of decent a/t tyres. That said I've found this kit online and want to know everyone's opinion? https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?m...2F142455110505
Cheers in advance

Just make sure the front springs are suitable for the load up front

Crd bull bar winch otherwise it will sag in no time

Does anyone know a rough price to expect for this to get done? I've seen a couple of posts where people have done a DIY approach, but time and circumstances mean I'll have to get someone to do it. A rough price so I know what to expect would be great.

Cheers.
I just got a heap of work done on mine (money pit I tell ya) and still having issues.

Got all the front bushes done as well as the lower rear A frame for $1200.
I have OME all round as well as some JBA gear on the front and a 7mm clevis lift with 245/70/16s

Seems to have stopped to noise in the front but have flogged out shockie mounts in the rear.
Love my Jeep but the suspension is driving me to drink (more).

Is doing a suspension upgrade diy’able? Mainly the front springs? I can see Supercheap sell a Toledo compressor tool- is it any good and suitable for the stock coils on the kJ?
I have all the other tools I need (also doing all uni/cv joints, arms and bushings- front and rear) and am capable for most tasks, but have read many people say to just take my old spring/shock assembly and the new springs and shocks somewhere and have them do it. Is that what I should do, or is the Toledo compressor tool good and reliable?
Cheers.

Not recommended because of the danger, but then again I did mine. I highly recommend two sets of spring compressors for each spring strut assembly.
Peddars Suspension shops are equipped with hydraulic presses with appropriate safety cages, they charged me $50 per strut to take mine apart and install new struts ( when I supplied the strut, purchased from Stu Murchison).

What KJ model, CRD or Petrol, they are different? CRDs have heavier front springs due to heavy engine. Is it lifted or not? Also CRD front CVs are very different to petrol, they are unequal in length and have an intermediate drive axle. You must liked What your doing before you start.
