I'm testing my memory a bit - but I reckon I used a bolt I had from the rear folding seat fixings in a GU Nissan Patrol.

I've replaced the original bolt with a standard bolt with a loop welded on top. Then I use a turnbuckle to hold the module into the floor recess. If ever we go upside down the module will still be stuck in place fingers X.
Hope you can find a bolt readily and simply stick a loop on top and do something to retrain your spare.
Good luck

That does sound about right it certainly is a course thread and the UNC test board didn't match....

Just googling around and bolts in m14x2 seem to be grade 8.8 or higher, no issue unless you are going to weld something to it and hang the truck off it....
but a local steel fabricator may well have what you want.

All sorted, tipped out the Bits an Bobs Box onto shed floor, dug thru the collection and found One very coarse bolt only a short stumpy job but it fitted well enough into the wheel well nut, so welded a ring to it, added some thread seal goop and tightened it up, then added a webbing strap to hold the wheel down... works a treat so now can be forgotten about ........................ cost nil, just my sort of job.

Man, I'd like a dollar for every time I've tipped out a jar or a box or a tin.....just looking for the bit you know is likely to be in there.
Very satisfying when the thing that will do the job comes to light.
Even better when the job is sorted.

Not wrong, only been in this new place 7 years so the Bit an Bobs Box isn't huge like after 25 yrs for the old place, had an amazing collection then but still need to use a shovel to pick the stuff up after I tip it out for a search ..... I pity my kids when they have to sort out my shed when I hang up the keys.... Though one thinks it will be treasure trove of memories....
