Default Redline oil in tj

I just put the redline oil in our TJ as everyone seems to say it has helped their gearbox not crunch. Well it has made it 10x worse then before and crunches going from 1st to 2nd and 3rd to 2nd.

Anyone else have a bad experience with the Redline manual gearbox fluid?

I wasn't expecting it to fix the problem but deffs not make it worse.

What year is your TJ? (5 Speed or 6 Speed?)

6 Speed is Mopar or Royal Purple Synchromax only!

Looking at getting the synchro kit replaced. Just got it off cobra transmissions. Might as well do the clutch too.

Exedy heavy duty clutch $490
Synchro kit $150
Labour 9hrs = $950

That should fix the problem!

Default New Synchro's and clutch....bliss

Hi everyone,

well we dipped into the savings account and got ourselves an Exedy Heavy duty clutch ($450) and got the whole synchro kit fully replaced on the gearbox.

The Synchro kit from Cobra Transmissions only cost $150 inc postage and then a gearbox specialist here on the Sunshine Coast did the work and we got the MT-90 oil in.

Runs real good now, very smooth! Pretty sure that's it now
