Love the look of the Bushwhackers, but I just can't justify the cost of something that can get destroyed so easily. And you still have to cut the hell out of the guards anyway.
I should be able to build my tube flares for under $200, and they will be able to withstand a fair amount of abuse.

Figured I'd update. Not much has happened but the bars are finished for now, and the rims and 32" Silverstone MT117's are on.

I've also got rock lights installed in the front now. Back ones will be in soon.

I've started making the templates for the tube flares, which I'll be starting over the xmas break. My mate should have all his gear set up by then.

And I broke another tailshaft uni a couple weeks back, so I'm looking into upgrading the yoke, and doing the u-bolt conversion while Its all apart!

Well, things are happening!
Front bar is nearly done, and we should make a start on the rear bar this afternoon.

Whipped up some brackets

Notched out for the tube to sit in

Clint welding the main bar in place

Top bar done

And all done apart from welding in the top hoop

And rear bar brackets, and a mounting tab for the CB Antenna

I'm pretty much done tracing out the template for the side panels to mount the tube flares to. These will be cut out of 3mm plate.
Can't wait to get this all done!
