Yes been through the same issues with my ARB/44. Unless there done correctly they will leak and carry on. Some shops do it without a spreader which makes it very difficult to get enough preload on the carrier bearings and this causes air leaks.
If the centre comes out easy it means it is not shimmed/pre-loaded correctly, housing is twisted (unlikely). My D30 popped in and out without needing a spreader but it was bloody tight in and out though.

Well R&P and bearings replaced and Jeeps back in the driveway. Need to try and get out on the weekend and see if it leaks oil, grinds, or pisses out air.
