Default Engine Mounts for a 2004 Cherokee , KJ, 2.8l diesel

I have been told that the right hand engine mount on my 2.8 l diesel, auto, requires replacing. I have the 2005 Jeep liberty manual (USA 2004 Jeep Cherokee which I was told was the same) and the engine mounts look totally different from the ones in the vehicle. I have had a few searches on line, you tube, and in this forum and I have been unable to find a picture of the correct engine mount. The mount for the 2.4 l diesel looks the same buy I cannot cross check it to see if it will fit the KJ 2.8l. Has anyone any knowledge where I can purchase the correct engine mount in Australia. I'm in Perth.

Ive also been told that the 1999-2004 Jeep grand cherokee is basically the same.

FRom the parts fiche 04 all have the same engine mounts for all engines V6 2.5crd and 2.8crd , Would be best to even check with Jeep give them you vin number and ask for a quote on the part, that will give you a bit of confirmation.

Are the ones in your vehicle like the ones shown here, or are they big flat dics with a bolt sticking straight upwards. ???

Yep, that is them. I did have a look thru the Post from glend's, looking through the fiche list but couldn't find engine mounts but now see them as "engine insulators". In the diagram you provided in the sales codes it has All 4/5 cylinder turbo diesels, however in 9-125 it has the same sales codes but different part numbers for the insulators. Does the legend at the bottom right of the page under "Engine" and "transmission" detail the vehicles that the mount covers. And, can you recall any post of anyone changing them out. Thanks for your assistance.

I have changed the mounts on a V6....... It was the opposite of Fun, It was "Not Fun" .

I think just to be sure, get onto Jeep, give them your VIN and see what they come back with.

Avoid Crane brand mounts and bushes ( for any part of the vehicle), they are cheap chinese ones that fall apart very quickly. I've also heard people not being happy with Crown brand, for the same reasons.
