I forgot to add that Sharpwrax sells step bars that bolt between the side mounts.

Pics here from the Sharpwrax web site. These step bars are actually quite popular. I'm 6'1" so have avoided the absolute need thus far but after a week away with the TJ Spoiler I'll be gettin a set fabbed up.

Just back from Pembo. Weather great. Lots of fun. Most importantly for me the Sharpwrax Spoiler performed perfectly. My son who was following behind thru all the lumpy tracks and dunes repeatedly reported via UHF that the rack was totally stable with no sway. The rack had 100kg loaded.

The tray was 1200x800. This Pembo success gave me the idea of offering a Spoiler+ option with a 1100x1200 tray. I'll toss the optional Spoiler tray frames and round off the tray corners to match the curve of the rails. Pics soon.

Skinz were fantastic!! Pic below is before we left. Forgot to take a pic post trip before I removed them. They were really scratched up.

Good question. My TJ has 32's and tyre width on the flare edge + an OME 2.5" lift. Honestly it handles great. I've come from a 5" lifted max width very wide track JK with 35's. The TJ handled at least as well and actually better as the ride was softer. No s$#t. We drove to Pembo sitting on 100-110km. Road was tight and twisting thru the great southern forest. Again the TJ handled great. Lots of dunes and bumpy tracks and the rack was firm and felt great. The Spoiler is as low as possible.

I'm new to the TJ but in my view the Spoiler is a no brainer. Tray pictured is a 1200x800. As a result of this successful trip I now offer a 1200x1100 tray. Both rated at 125kg.

We had lots of space in the TJ as all my recovery gear + awning and fire wood was up top.

Sounds like its all working out pretty perfect for you. Just wondering, where the brackets go through the window section, What have you done with the windows themselves in the way of getting them to seal on the bottom lip? Do you not clip it in under the lip or do you cut a small section of the plastic away so it can still clip in for the majority of it?

Again good question. I "clip" the plastic retainer in a certain way. Close up pics soon. I've run this clipped window strip retainer solution for 3 years on a JK, done thousands of wheeling km's and had no dust / sealing issues. Maybe if you did heaps of km's in NW WA bulldust tracks or central Oz gravel roads you would get some dust but I've had no discernible issue. I have developed a neat plastic easy push in strip that blocks the very small gap as the window bends around the mount and back to the tub. Haven't needed to use it yet.

The mount / soft top window retainer clipping design works perfectly fine.

Also as part of my R&D over the years I have had new soft top window retainer strips resown by a local motor trimmer. No stress and easy. Only $20 each.
