We tow a Coromal PC541 off road poptop caravan with our Rubicon Unlimited (auto). Its a compromise as we really wanted the Rubi for its off road ability. As for towing its not brilliant. Goes fine as long as we dont hit a hill cause then we can tell its underpowered. Fuel ecomony is around 18l/100klms sitting between 80 & 85kph overdrive off. We have travelled around 20K this last year towing the van and are heading off around Oz in the next few weeks - it will be interesting to see how we go with the bigger hills once we hit the Eastern seaboard!

One thing to remember is that if you are overloaded you will void your insurance and that becomes a bigger worry if someone elses vehicle is involved.
