Torque app works well with my CRD and it has a great dashbord that works well with my Android tablet.

Sorry I did forget to mention this is for the CRD as the petrol does work and the Aeroforce will read the 2011 CRD on according to Bill. Something to do with the updated programming in the ECU.

Default Drive 02 and Torque Apps

Hi Guys,

Just a couple of questions. I managed to get drive and torque operating on my phone (well drive on my wife's phone as my HTC wildfire screen is too small for the app, sent email off to maker). I can’t get tranny temp on Torque but, so the questions.

1. Can Torque read tranny temp on 2012 auto wrangler or any Wrangler?
2. What temp should I set the tranny alarm for Drive?
3. What temp should I aim to drive at to avoid tranny problems?

Thanks Yt2...

all MY07~ on wrangler has trans temp sensor, and the onboard computers are capable of reporting the trans temp. But the PIDs (internal identifier to the sensor) are chrysler proprietary info. Many of these OBD softwares wont be able to see the temp sensor unless the s/w developer paid chryser for the access license or hack the CAN bus.

Chrysler has a habbit of using the same PID for different sensors across different model. so the PID for CRD and petrol's trans temp sensors are likely to be different, as such, an app that can read the trans temp on petrol may not be able to read the same info from a CRD.
