Cheers,
They are expensive. I will stick with Bendex 4wd pads.

I'm not fixing it, I'm improving it!

They are and they have brought the Jeep back from the dead. Before i started this rebuild, my brakes were useless and dangerous. I upgraded to Hawk pads and just as bad... i put a new vacuum booster in, no difference.. i then read this thread, or one similar.. http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f9/eb...rotors-599703/ and installed the Yellowstuffs. Brakes could actually lock the car up and worked 100% better. I then had the confidence to go ahead with the rebuild knowing my brakes would pass inspection. Before that, the Jeep was bordering on dangerous.

Cheers,

Its weird, as my XJ is a 1995 and Amazon and EBC say they only fit 1997 and on XJ, but i am sure all rotors, calipers and pads from 1990-2001 are interchangeable. Anyway, the pads fit my XJ perfectly and work brilliantly, so its all good...

I fixed up the studs, and straightened the sensor, but i think there must still be a problem. Start car, ABS check light comes on, then goes out. Drive car and ABS light comes on down the street.
Before Christmas, i bought an OBD1 scanner and it came with all the Jeep modules and ABS plug etc...
I think this is going to come in really handy soon to check error codes and find the fault..

Cheers,
Got the Snap-On MT 2500 scanner cranked up. First time i have used it. It would not work at first.. faulty comm cable. Got that sorted. Then it took me 2 hours to find the ABS plug. It was staring at me the whole time in the drivers foot well up against the center console. I didnt think it was the one, as it had more pins, but it was. Got it all plugged in and working.. just as suspected.. error code 43.. Teves right rear speed sensor. I thought the left rear took the biggest knock, but i will check, clean and adjust the air gap on both rears tomorrow. The scanner is quite powerful. I had a bit of a play and got the ABS pumps cycling, diagnostic testing etc.. you can also bleed the ABS system with it.

Cheers,
