Left it in until the Accessories turned itself off. No connection...

I give up!

Cheers

Could be that the 256GB SSD is too large and therefore not recognised?

Oh, technology is such a bundle of joy...

The 256GB SSD does not work.

The old school 500 GB spinning disk does - even with thousands of files on it. I guess I can pack it in some soft foam to ease the ride.

Go figure!

Cheers

What's wrong with a few 32 Gb USB drives? Awful lot of music will fit on a couple.

Sometimes it is fun to push the envelope...

I wanted to put a few - well, a lot - of podcasts on the drive. They are an hour each so around 25 to 30 MB each.

Cheers

That's what I have been doing but I want to keep my iTunes playlists. Now obviously Apple don't like you syncing iTunes to anything but iPod/iPhones so I use the Doubletwist program and this is the issue. Since I run Mac computers and Android phone this removes the option for Android Auto as well since again Apple and Android don't play nicely.

So I have got a 120gb SSD and managed to sync iTunes to it from Doubletwist (and it only took 30mins instead of the usual 3 hours to USB). The car recognises the playlists and all the files BUT there is now 2 of every playlist and folder in the JGC / uConnect display.

I need to work out if this is an issue with the SSD, the formatting of it (MS DOS FAT) or a fault with Doubletwist. Next step will be to reinstall Doubletwist onto my computer which will reset the library/database. If that doesn't work, I will then try another 32gb USB which I purchased today. Failing that, then I will give up on trying to maintain my playlists.
