I owned Nilrust Aust for 30 years, and developed and had a part in instigating the Aust Standard AS2662/1 -2 for vehicle rustproofing.(Application and product quality)You should at least get the underbody and and chassis rails cavities treated BEFORE going on the beach. The idiots who drive along the beach in salt water will force salt water into many areas of the vehicle that cannot be removed,eg seams.inner cavities .Plus cad plating is quickly degraded from bolts etc aluminium parts start to oxidize, To the owners , who say engine, diesel oil etc ok ,oil floats on water .put some oil on a steel plate outside in the rain, corrosion in hours.

I'm on the beach all the time with my Wrangler and a part from a lift and a skid plate I wouldn't bother with chemical rust proofing. The skid plate doesn't do a great deal but it helps like a ramp when you are axle deep.
Tow hooks are a good idea for the front and if you have a Hayman Reese type tow hitch then get yourself a hitch that you can attach a D shackle to.
A set of recovery tracks are also a must. These are indispensable when on sand.
Chemical rust proofing isn't needed. When you get home, set up a water sprinkler underneath your vehicle and wash out the salt and sand with fresh water for 30 - 40 mins.
Stay away from driving at the water's edge. Driving through saltwater is not only stupid, it's dangerous.

The belly pan/sump guard is a must, the plastic one gets ripped off easily and can get forced up into the engine bay. Recovery hooks are a good idea, but I've never used mine. I prefer to use maxtrax if they are needed.
I have couplertec rust proofing, seems to work. But I also give the underbody a good hose out after going to the beach. Three times a few days apart. By the 3rd time not much sand coming out.
I prefer the Chief hooks and bash plate, but each to their own.
I mostly drive up at Teewah Beach and Fraser, and a few trips to Straddie main beach and Bribie. I run slightly bigger tyres and air suspension in OR1 gives me about 270mm of clearance, 18-20psi. Haven't had any issues with soft stuff.

Sand is easy on the WK2:
Larger tyres (275/65r18 ) at the right pressure + the Murch lift or quadralift
Front guard/skid from uneek/mopar
front recovery points from uneek/mopar
rear recovery either factory or hitch based
Maxtrax/tredz
and you will dominate the sand and get bored of pulling Toyotas out.

Yep, doing everything you have suggested. Already got the 275/65 tyres. Switched out the 20” wheels for 18’s a few weeks back. I’m on a mission
