I remember in the good old days, I would just rock around a mates place unanounced then hang out, smoke some dope, drink some booze and maybe meet a few new chicks. Also if my mate was not home I would go to another mates place, again unanounced and the first mate more often was there as well, doing all or most of the above.
Nowadays I have to call and see if it is ok to visit. Days of dope are over, I gave that up when I became a God Botherer. As for the booze that is becoming a once in a year event as well. Heck everyone is too busy with children to kick back under the verandah or drive down the beach and sink a few coldies.
I won't mention what happened at the beach after a few coldies. Lets just say it was a free for all as the closest police were 20mins away and they rarely left their local precinct.
regards A

Doing laps (quickest time) of the Palm beach carpark (bottom half dirt and sand top half tar but no speed humps etc) in the RS2000 with a bit of a bonfire going in the middle, petrol 35c a litre, smoking cars on the gosford trains (not that I smoke anymore, or have for a long time).
In saying all that I quite enjoy having 3 kids, a nice house, stable job, beers on a Friday night in summer while the BBQ is burning sausages, working from home etc. When it comes down to it it's a different life to 25 years ago but not any worse, probably better
Cheers
Steve
