Default Cane Toad Roof Rack

I came across this roof rack on eBay. They have the flat type with crossbars, but also one with side rails and mesh floor.

https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/252616416961

Has anyone tried one of these? Difficult to tell if they're any good only looking at photos, but they do look quite reasonable. The price seems good compared to others out there, but not sure about build quality.

200kg max load ?

i'd be calling them out on that . uneek tray has 120kg load and rhino rack which uses 4 mount points like that one is only 68kg .

They don't specify stationary or moving load. I'd assume that is stationary.

Frontrunner also has a very good roof rack, I'd go with that over the other two.

I've got the flat one with horizontal bars.
Used it on a trip to birdsville from wollongong. Had a spare wheel, 10L of fuel, awning, shovel & 2 sets of "treds". Not overloaded, but pushing the weight stated by jeep for roof loading.
No problems with the rack at all. Good value rack.
Mine is for sale now though as i don't have the jeep anymore.

Hi,

Has anyone got a new certification for the roof load for that 120kg at Uneek?

The manual states the roof load is 68kg. Doesn't mention about upgrades. You would want to be careful with your insurance if something went wrong!

I realise the Uneek has a more secure mounting, etc, but can you change the roof load allowed without certification? Suppose like a GVM upgrade! Might be especially relevant when selling?

We have the Pioneer Platform - 68kg is enough for us - carries the Hobie or the Portabote up there. Don't like too much load on roof racks as it changes that centre of gravity. Prefer to put it in the car or van!

Cheers,
Sally

Good to hear feedback about it, thanks. How much are you selling for?
