If well setup there isn't anything that can touch them for performance and travel (8" shock = 16" @2:1 ratio + horizontal mount across the frame so not thru the floor....
......In stage2 mods for the CJ I plan to change the rear suspension setup to 1.5:1 ratio Cantilever 12" Coil-over/long-arms & this will give me 18" travel and the ability to custom set up/down travel limits.

Yeah I think they look great and I understand how I works but it's a little to complicated for the rear of an xj. I really don't know how good it would be with leaf springs due to the shape of the arc they travel through during their cycle, I think tuning would become a nightmare! Plus it would require ALOT of frame work to make it hold up on the unit body with the load being generated in multiple planes. Perfect for the cj though! At least you have a frame to weld to
plus you'll be running it on links not leaves. I've seen one done on a JK that looked pretty amazing and I think it's on pirate a guys doing it on a Zj! But once again....coils! Got me thinking though
