Default Beach driving/camping nsw

Hey guys, I'm organising a camping/fishing trip over the easter break with some mates and we are keen to stay at the beach. I've been to stockton beach, but now that you can't camp there are there any alternatives around the same area? Basically I'm just looking for a beach we can drive/camp/fish at somewhere within a few hundred km of Sydney(north or south).

thanks.

Try Blacksmiths beach mate, some of the best 4wd and fishing around. Might get busy over the long weekend but plenty of area for you to find.
Its about 30mins south of Newcastle.

Had never heard of it, but after googling it I can see 4wders rave about about the place. No permit required and you can camp anywhere?

yeah, has free camping anywhere on the beach. If you get in early you can get a spot down near the fresh water stream to have a swim in(saves bringing a shower ) take a bodyboard and some rope, lots of fun scurfing up the creek behind the jeep.
