Default new grand cherokee laredo

Hi all,

Mrs picked up a brand new grand Cherokee Laredo diesel , from Berwick jeep last Tuesday. by Thursday its throwing a check engine light and a etc light too.

Takes it back to have it checked and cleared , they then tried to tell her it was caused by pressing brake and accelerator together while driving are they kidding so much for customer service . what douchebags !! . Does the new Laredo come with reverse camera , I got her to ask and they said that model doesn't get it . I'm confused I thought it did ??

Thanks

Jason

The reversing camera MY14 is fitted by the dealer, I waited a couple of months to get mine fitted.

As BazzaC said the reversing camera is a standard for the Laredo but it is a dealer fit. They do have trouble with getting them from jeep my dealer fitted a better quality aftermarket camera instead as they could not get the Jeep one at the time.
Demand they get and fit it for you.
Regards
Mike

None of the Laredo's come with the reverse camera fitted from factory , the Limited and Overland have the factory units fitted , Chysler never had a camera kit availible so an Australian company designed and kitted one up iv fitted about 20 of these units and availability is not good as they also had to ship units globaly including back to the USA , Chrysler are working on an infill panel camera like the Limiteds & Overland have but when it will be available is anyones guess & if you ride the brake and throttle at the same time you will trip the Check Light you simply cant do that with the WK or 300 c's even the 3.6 Auto JK's will have a dump if you do it only they are not quite so sensitive .

Why are they douchebags for having told her the cause of your issue? I'd be more concerned with why she had two feet on the pedals at the same time while driving (or one foot across both) - highly dangerous practice.

I was lucky in that I only waited 2 weeks for my camera. It's crappy, but at least I can see behind now!

She wasn't using 2 feet driving an auto . that's why I called them douchebags ! so its ok for you to say she was too huh get real if you had a 2 day old jeep and it was throwing codes you'd be pissed off too , maybe they are correct as ozjeepster pointed out and I appreciate the feedback , but where they driving the jeep no. Like she's going to heel and toe the brake and accelerator rofl are you for real ??
