Test drive completed (on a closed road)
It hauls ass again
I didnt reset the computer
And my lack of power at wot is gone
Cant feel any drop in power from say 80% to WOT like you usually can
So i guess the whole time ive had this XJ its had a dicky coil and the replacement wasnt up to scratch either.

And that coil was exactly the same as the OEM....? I don't like it very much, to put non spec things into the jeep, leaves too many things to guess sometimes.
Well, on the good side, you've replaced a few other items that would have needed it anyway somewhere in the future. And the real good news is RB: It is Monday and....yes, you fixed something again !!

I've had so many instances like that when I was a mechanic. Brand new items u/s out of the box. Great you got it sorted mate. People also have the assumption that when they go to the wreckers that the items they buy are always better than what's on their car. Yes and no. Everything has a use by date. It does peeve you off though when new items crap themselves after a short period. I'm leaning on kurts problem with his xj being the coil too even though he replaced it about 2 months ago.
