Default Jk clockspring
Has anyone heard that 2008 to 2012 right hand drive jeep wranglers clockspring s have been recalled my has just packed it in l suspect air bag light comes on randomly no abs no cruise control googled it and it seems to point to the same thing clockspring

Damn it
It looks like a bugger of a job too eBay they sell for $229 plus post wranglerti how long has yours been on the fritze

The job is not that bad. Took me 1-2 hours, from memory. There are a couple of good writeups on how to replace them. You can get them from Rockauto or JeepsAreUs in the states.

Try here or here for some light reading.

Mine has had cruise and ABS down for about 2 months now, maybe a slightly different issue but it appears its the clock spring that is the issue.

I am waiting on rockauto to get them back in stock and are $69 from them plus freight. Maybe I should look at jeepsrus as banshee suggested as rockauto been out of stock for 3 weeks now

The clock spring is one part I wouldn't go after market with, genuine clock springs are around $200 delivered from the states. Make sure when you order one that you give them your vin number as there are a few different versions for the JK, some don't have cruise control connected
