Default Fluid dripping

Hello everyone

Over last two nights I have noticed one or two drops under the car of a reddish fluid. It does smell like the anti freeze (I think) but I am not so sure. The car has been services recently and topped up so all fluids are at expected levels. Upon investigation it seems to be coming from here. Anyone can confirm what this is? Location seems at the center under the engine

Thanks
Khaled

I am not familiar enough with these engines to tell you what that hose definitely is but going by the size and type of clamp I would expect that this is a coolant hose. Although it should be investigated as to why it's leaking (ie is there a split or hole) looking at it I'd suggest removing that spring loaded style clamp and replace it with a conventional screw type clamp.

Thanks mate, it’s in a very awkward location under the engine so hopefully it will be easy to investigate and access

This is the CRD on my 2014 overland. It does seem like it from the smell and colour. It’s minimal leak still but need to fixed soon before smth major happens I guess. Hopefully they can get to it from underneath and not have to take everything off

Is the photo from underneath looking up or from the top looking down?? Just trying to picture exactly the place where it is on the engine.

Clean it and dry it off and check it again when under pressure as things have a way of weeping when at operating temp. Could even be weeping down from further up and running down

eg; A woman at work was baffled why her coolant kept dropping, V6 Commodore, she would fill it back up each arvo when the car was cool prior to going home, checked it in the morning, when cold all was good, but it was always low in the afternoon when she was about to head home.I had a look for her, started the car filled it back up, opened the bleed screw on top of thermostat got all the air out, I then asked her to turn the heater all the way on after it started to build up pressure and there was her problem the bloody heater tap had a small split and when the engine got up to temp the split would open up under pressure and it would squirt out, no tell tale signs of coolant as it would spray out on the exhaust manifold and simply evaporate as steam, and she didn't use the heater on the way home only coming into work in the morning.
Went to a couple of mechanics who diagnosed leaking inlet manifold gaskets, still going good to this day after a new heater tap was put on
