Drover, you realize this tool takes the top off the injector, making it unusable.. last resort if the black death takes hold..

The first one to try is the sliding hammer type that hooks in where the clamp fits,
this is the one I bought http://www.ebay.com/itm/120685287859...ht_2030wt_1124
the other one is the last resort...

I had to use one of these to get number 4 and 5 injectors out of mine. Didn't matter as they were both rooted anyway.

Unless you use this sort of tool with a really stuck injector you may not be able to apply enough force to pull the injector from the head.

Well thankfully mine don't need to be done but as bodgie said I suppose it doesn't matter as they would be stuffed anyway. I'd probably do the hole thing and dump it in at the Bosch Diesel Care joint and get them to do do it anyway and go fishing, after doing injectors and fuel pumps jobs on trucks over the years, stuff it too much hassle, there's always one little thing that puts a spanner in the works.

Obviously you wouldn't use that tool if you were just doing seals but if you are replacing the injectors then who cares. Unless of course you are going with reman injectors which probably need an exchange item but reman injectors are not good long term value anyway. As bodgie said good back up last chance tool. Got plenty of them in the tool kit even if most look like a hammer.
