Motor has seized
Does anyone know where I can buy a rebuild kit for CRD Wrangler the engine is called a RA 428 but I can't find anything. If I buy a motor from a wrecked wrangler does a motor with a automatic trans have different bell housing bolts? does a manual and auto tranny bolt up to the same motor regardless.

You need to find the same era engine,
If yours is a 2010, find a 2010 engine to swap it over with, it will reduce the potential for on going problems and wasting money

Can you tell us what happened to the engine? How many kms were on the clock? Were there any mods/tunes done to the engine?
You can buy short block assy from JNL Engineering in UK. Nobody's beaten their prices yet, even the Italians.

I still need to dismantle the motor but I'm 99% sure the bottom end has seized up. There's only 120 000 on the clock. No tune and no mods done to the motor or driveline it's all standard. I'm thinking a rebuild will end up being around $6000-$8000 once it's all done. The car is an 08 model as well I can't find any diesel Wranglers that are an 08 model being wrecked. All I've had is Japanese cars beforehand so I'm not the most switched on when it comes to looking for rebuild kits or crate motors etc for the Jeep. If it was a Nissan or a Subaru though I would know exactly where to start lol....
