Default WH hard to start on cold

Hi guys

New in this Forum - I put a deposit on a WH Laredo from an auction house last 2 weeks ago but yet to get my car as it was playing up. It is hard to start on cold but apparently it runs smooth when hot. so I ended up with this thread after searching for days http://www.ausjeepoffroad.com/forum/...d.php?t=118475

however, It seems to be a different issue at all - please correct me if I am wrong. My mate is also a mechanic but since the car is in the Auction House's workshop we cannot get proper access.

So - what we suggested to them to look at are the following:

1. Glow plugs
2. Glow Plug module
3. Crank Sensor
4. Injector
5. Injector Pump

but yet to get an update if they have fixed it or not.

Anyone had this problem and not of the above was the problem?

Best Regards
Raf

Glow plug control module is very common and glow plugs as well. My module is clapped out. Takes many attempts on a cold morning.

You need to insist that the fault codes be read by a Jeep service centre, this is the only way they will know what the root cause is.

As Bloke said, it is most likely a combination of glow plug module & glow plugs.

Your real problem sounds like the Auction House/Vendor. Start demanding your deposit back & you will more then likely see results.

No reply from vendor so Raf (OP) is in the dark.

i would say glow plug control module and glow plugs ask them if they have checked for codes and what codes have come up.
