Hi Guys just after some advice a i have a new JK rubi are these ebay snorkel's any good has anyone used one? Do they fit up and seal properly?
Is there any difference to one of the ebay ones and the AEV brand i just don't want to spend $500.00 if i don't need to i can use it for other mods
In short they're a Chinese AEV copy. If you can get around the legal grey area of this practice then yes they do the job sufficiently. I have one on my JK which cops a flogging. No cracks or even much scratching. I paid about $90 IIRC so shop around. Fit and finish is not as nice as the AEV I expect but I didn't buy a Wrangler to look at it.
And now for the discussion on intellectual property rights, international trade, advanced polymer engineering, ripoff pricing, version compatibility, airflow, the state of the cookie jar, the , the........
20 pages......why set the bar so low ?

From what I have been told they are the same as some of the Ebay jobs. I have not had a problem yet besides the lack of instructions that come with the snorkel
I have a decent condition 2nd have AEV copy one I'm looking to sell in Sydney if you're interested.
I'd prefer to get the genuine AEV one as apparently the 2nd gen one is better for airflow on the 3.6, can fit the pre-filter, better quality and made in the USA.
