Default Does an Engel MT60FP fit in the boot?

Hi guys,

Can anyone confirm whether a single Engel MT60FP Platinum Series II Portable Fridge / Freezer will fit lengthways in the boot of a JK Unlimited?

Ideally I would like to put it on the red side, but blue side would also be ok (the difference is the highly inconvenient lump on the boot door for the red side). Sub would be removed also.

Also, i'd like to get it on a false floor and a fridge slide so it might sit aroung 15cm higher than the boot floor.

I'm out of the country for a while but planning a bit of a touring set up for when I'm back.

Thanks

Sam

Don't know about the model, but my 60 litre Engel would not fit lengthwise in my JKU - Sideways only

I have a cfx50 sitting around 15 cm of the floor on a diy slide in the red area. It literally just fits due to the recline of the rear seat and the lump in the rear door for the handle and latch.

You will gain more room on the blue side as the door is thinner there.

Not sure on dimensions of the cfx50 but I’m sure you can find it online. Can prob fit a hand in front and behind the fridge but that’s about it.

I have an Ironman 50lt in mine on the drivers side that's mounted on a slide within a wooden frame.

I have a bit of room left but as Dom83 mentioned it's the slope of the rear seat that will limit the size of what you are trying to fit in there.

As Dom mentioned as well, you are probably better off mounting it on the drivers side due to the shape of the tailgate.

Cheers for all the replies guys! yep well aware of the annoyance of the sloping rear seats, the lump on the tailgate and the bloody subwoofer!

Looks like I will need to have either a back up fridge model, or a backup build configuration!
