I think you will find you didnt look very hard or understand what you were reading if you believe this was the case.

But lets keep this thread on topic, it isnt about some superstar in a prado conquering every track in Aus and winning tuff truck before being shipped to the states to wheel Moab its about a wheeling spot for you guys being closed off.

So is it private or public land?

If Its private you cant do to much but get upset, If its public land get all your buddies together including the prado and go for a massive wheel together and show the authorities they cant stop you.

All this argument is useless.

Nothing can be done to prevent ormeau from being closed. The greater majority of the land we were driving on was private property and the owners have finally decided that what it was being used for cannot continue. And rightly so.

Think it lucky that you were not caught and fined (I certainly do).

Just to make it clear: there is absolutely nothing anyone can do about this. Nothing!

Ormeau has been blocked off for 10 years. The security presence is sometimes increased.
So how much belongs to the quarrys bounding the north and western sides? There is also another quarry directly south.
Seeing as gazetted roads pass through and the quarrys are fenced.
I know the house owners of the eastern side lay some claim to the area aswell, not fenced.

Yep .... just because it doesnt have kerbing and guttering doesnt mean its a free for all location.

The Pines about 5 blocks behind Palm Beach used to have good wheeling ..... Nothing like ripping the through the place dodging old car wrecks or a hill climb to the tanks instead of using the track ....

Oh wait ... all you Qld lot who cant find anywhere to drive anymore .... probably own a house there now ....

Great Pic nicholash .....

This thread was an awesome read; almost as vicious as some of the old JK threads... LOL...

Now common on BOYS why don’t you all kiss and make up...

If the powers that be wish to close the tracks; there is nothing we can do about it... Had it, seen it, and demonstrated against it.

The 4x4 community is just too small to make a diff in the big scheme of things (greenies and such like) with no offence intended on any person or party...

You will just have to find somewhere else to wheel...

There used to be 2 or 3 beach/dune runs and 2 areas in the hills no more than 30 min drive from my place; no I need a packed lunch just to get there....

I went for a very quick run on Saturday to show off my heep to my troopy loving sister n law from FNQ. I entered via Shaws Pocket road n saw nothing blocked & no guards anywhere, I did not go down as far as the Water Tower or play area but the Creek end looks all opened up, thats were the best tracks are anyhow. I did notice the Creek entrance via the old quarry was washed out by natural causes.

Still not happy with whats going on though, I would be very disapointed if BumCrack was banned before my rig gets set up to give it a go. Also might have to find a new way of getting to the Tower of Terror without being detected.

I really dont think this is any suprise to anyone.. Half of this state is fenced off from bikes and 4wds. I have lived in most states and have never encountered so many closed off places and such hard bullshit laws about lifts, tyres, etc. I think there is a few reasons and i know its not going to concern everyone but it only takes the small majority to ******** it for everyone.

1 being that every time i drive up the bruce there are ********witts doin circle work in the pine forests next to the motorway which attracts negative attention and (I have even been flagged down off the motorway to help pull some douche bag out)

2 being half of you queensland peanuts drive around for weeks with mud all over your cars sayin look at me look how cool i think i am and

3 because half of the 4wds here are not maintained and the work that is done is not done properly eg Shortcuts taken so it looks cool but isnt really safe.

Thats not half my opinion but thats all im gonna say and this is from what i have seen happening and by lookin at other 4wds around the place..
So sorry lads if you want it to stop maybe pull your peanut heads in and think about what you and your irrasponsible mates do before the gates close and not just bitch after its to late..
