I'm having Terra Grapplers fitted on Monday coming up. Bob Jane have them on special at the moment—buy three or more and get one free. I am however going with 285/60R18 but they will be $1,000 for the lot, fitted and balanced.

Thanks for the heads up i have just emailed them for a price for Terras, will def get them if they are around the 1k mark.

Why are going the 285/60/18? I assume you mean the G2's ? I am getting a price for the 275/65/18!

Cheers Vinnie

We've gone for the DICK CEPECK Trail Country 265/65/18 because of the load rating and all terrain tread, as well as still fits in the spare hole. The speedo is about the same but the % throttle increase in getting them going is surprising so now we just don't look at "that" screen in the dash.

Yeah, the G2 is correct.

I first asked for the 275/65R18 and was told there were none available in NSW, so instead have gone with the 285. There seem to be plenty of guys running 285 on the 20" wheels and Hutch recently had the 285/60R18 (not Nitto) fitted up without any problems, so I've gone with it.

They're fitted! My first impressions after driving 40km home after fitting is excellent. Road noise around town and on the highway, to my ear, is negligible in comparison to the OEM Latitudes.

I ran the GPS speedo on the way home which was pretty well bang on (and there's only like 2% size difference anyway).

In heading to Melbourne this weekend for the GP so I can report back with some highway fuel observations next week.

The clearance to the bolt next to the front wheels is enough that I don't think it would ever hit, even under any sort of decent lateral load.
