Default arb long vs poly performance

Put in my shocks today, and always a little 'dubious' of manufacturers claims I did some measuring of my own. Front shocks: Poly was 740 and ome 720 long.
Was difficult to take some shots compressed as I was on my own but found the arb was 440 to the Poly 470.

Found that I would need to use some relocation brackets too if I was to continue with these shocks:

The rears were arb at 780 extended, the Poly a bees appendage longer.
Closed the Arb was approx 520 to the Poly 530.
I will get some more accurate closed measurements hopefully today.

Overall, these are way firmer than the soft arbs. Note my arbs have only done 20000 so they are not shot. Also the Arb is heavier and bigger in diameter.
Will be fitting the rest of the Poly gear today, will keep you posted.

My stock OME shocks were hitting the chassis, if you run long travel shocks they are definately going to hit the chassis. I installed my PP front shock relocation brackets 6 months ago to fix the problem, you should sell heaps of those things mate.

Right there. The front shocks hit the chassis on full extension.

Without relocation brackets the front shocks dust cover (OME long) or poly performance shock body hits the chassis rail while extended due to the Axel moving in a slight arc into the body under flex & pull from the panhard.

I used the shock relocation brackets on my OME longs and they have been rock solid as with most the poly performance gear I've seen. It was also intersting when installing that all but 1 spot on the Axel shock mounts is pre-drilled as if jeep engineers catered for this mod.

Cheers,
B.

Hmm...all mine required drilling to some degree. But my front end is a piece of SHIT and clearly whoever welded it didn't have it on the jig properly...bloody yanks.
