There was a deposit located just out of town last year estimated at 6 million ounces! Was found with a metal detector on a lease that an old guy owned for years then sold! New owners were tuning their detectors and found a small seam just below the surface. This lead to some big nuggets so they had a geo survey done and sold it to Barack gold and retired with royalty a for anything found in the top 10'.
If your ever near Kalgoorlie Bonza drop me a line

Astronaut – still attempting a successful re-entry to reality.

Seriously though, I've hardly worked a day in my life. I actually get paid for playing with my hobby.
I'm usually an electronics technician, sometimes comms engineer, sometimes hack half-coder.
When I was travelling around Oz I'd also worked as a house painter, shop assistant, camp cook, station hand, tour guide, auto sparky, and a few other odd jobs. But I found those guys work too hard for the pay, so I'm back to working in E&C until I'm replaced by a rack-mount module or otherwise made obsolete.

Currently cruising with a multi-national communications company that puts up with my little idiosyncrasies.
