Indicator/Headlight issue 95xj
Hey jeepers
First time posting. I had a good look around the threads but couldn't find this issue anywhere. Apologies if it's up somewhere I didn't see. Anyhoo....
Got a 95 XJ. After pretty heavy rain in Perth last week, whenever I have my headlights on, my left indicator clicks once then stays on, my right indicator cause my hazard gauge to come on but still flashes. Im guessing it's moisture gotten in somewhere, a harness or something, but thought I'd put it out there before I begin the potentially long process of elimination
Thanks in advance!

Check the trailer plug and connections if you have one.

If the XJ is anything like the TJ the headlight circuit runs full current through the switch, no relay. I also had one of the plugs at the headlights melt, bad connection, high resistance. Replaced both plugs with good Narva ones and fitted a double headlight relay. All the switch does now is switch a small current for the relays. That amount of current and old dodgy jeep wiring is not a good mix up in the combination switch.
