Don't these have a central diff lock on them that you can throw in? Or have we been stitched up with too much technology again?

Clarky is that the one you replaced a couple of years ago. How many ks did it do? I hope CV860 has the right number of splines as there seems to have some talk a couple of years ago wether these fit or not.Maybe the the cv would last longer if taken off cleaned and repacked with new grease.I might give it a go .

No, only hi & low. Center diff locked only in low range.

Yes, approximately 30,000km ago.
When I removed it I found the bolts were loose, one was a quarter of an inch out.
Probably from the corrugations on some of the outback tracks. I Should be more observant.

That happened on my one , after some 'mechanic' removed and refitted the front propeller shaft. Did not follow the simple instructions on tighting the bolts.

Developed a very bad vibration.

Hope it all works out OK

Clarky are you back up and running yet, if so which cv did you fit.The CV860 has 32 splines and the CV861 has 25 splines.
