Winch mount or bar NOT ARB
Guys just looking to see if anyone has a non ARB winch bar or winch mount setup? I am dead set keen on fitting a winch but can't be bothered forking out the 2150 quoted for a fitted arb bar not including winch. Found a few options but just trying to see if anyone has done anything?

There is a TJM option, not sure if they are still available tho. Also an idea is to look at wreckers to see if they have a cheap one. I've seen a few on bumtree around 850-1000.

Anyone got or heard of the Detours backbone setup? Don't think they are making them anymore or at the moment with a shop relocation but the style is awesome. If I can't source one, going to hit up a local fab shop to see if I can get one made in a very similar style to suit a universal jeep/tj/jk/etc winch plate

Don't think they make it anymore, another memeber here was wanting something like it, I offered him my old ARB mounting cradle. It's the bit that actually bolts onto th e KJ subframe, and then the bullbar mounts to it. Fairly rugged bit of kit, that could easily have a mount fabbed up to mount a winch in, and keep the original plastic bumper. also has rated recovery loops on it for snatch recovery ect. My price for it was too high for him.
What ever you use or get fabbed up, make sure it's strong enough to do the job, people get very very hurt when things used for recovery fail.

Do you still have it available? I'm really not that keen on the fab angle but I'm just struggling yo justify the 2k + price tag of an ARB, and not having much luck over the last 6 months finding a second hand one
