So I got around to installing the silicon T piece on the turbo intake. I took a few photos to help others who decide to do it.

sorry about pics, not sure why they're rotating when I upload.. can't seem to find a way to fix it.

Picked myself up a strip light from 4x4 supacentre, it clips onto the hood lining perfectly and lights the whole engine bay up.

Took intake hose off.

There was a fair bit of seepage under the orange seal so I'm pretty glad I did the swap!

The intake hose is easy to cut, there is a notch between the two ribs of the piece you have to remove so just put the hacksaw blade between the two and cut as straight as you can, I lightly sanded it to get the burs off.

Cutting the silicon T piece is tough.. I used tape to mark the 20mm diagonal line then cut from the 20mm mark downwards.

Its hard to cut because you need to squeeze it to make it rigid enough to cut without it flopping around. A sharp stanley knife might work better than a hacksaw.

Fitting the T piece requires a little fiddling to get into place. As Clarky mentioned, I found the hose clamps listed with the T piece too bulky so I just got some from bunnings and they fit well.

Also changed the oil/filter as I'm heading to Fraser island in 2 weeks. Tried to do the fuel filter but didnt have a torx socket set

Default Adjusted WH steering rack

Finally was able to adjust the WH steering rack .Three hits with the freeze and it was done. Much better to drive without the rack knock. Then as I was in such a good mood I thought would change the serpentine belt !!. Found a couple of pulleys a bit dry ,plus will renew the tensioner pulley. Belt still looks like new at 130000ks.
