I'm fitting one to my 98 ZJ next week so I'll let you know.

Also replacing the air box with a performance pod air system suppose to give me an additional 22bhp so it will be interesting to see the result

Cool, let us know. Would be good if you could do a dyno run before & after hey.

Is the pod in an open engine bay?

yes it will be only cos the problem I currently have is the main airbox is too big, holds too much water and when you go off road and get mud in the air intake it blocks the drain holes up.

I was going to drill bigger air holes but that sort of defeats the object as too much air can escape out of the box and not into the intake.

I had a very close shave recently when I went down a steep slope with about an inch of water in the air box and nearly trashed the engine.

The kit comes with heat sheilds to block most of the engine hot air from going into the air intake and draws the air from the front of the car.

The filter gets wet no matter what I do if I go near water so I'd rather what ever water does get near the intake just drops out of the car and doesn't sit in the bottom of the air intake.

I might take a before / after shot when i do it, and publish the results.

That's what i was hoping you'd say.

I put a K&N pod on mine & i'll tell you you're gonna love that induction sound LOL. Have taken mine off though untill i get off my ass and make a decent heat shield.
