Default Supension advice

For a second attempt.
If I had a petrol Unlimited, I would buy the PP kit without a 2nd thought. And I know many run it on the CRD. I have a CRD Unlimited with ARB bull bar, have run ARB coils, PP coils and now custom King coils, all with Rancho adjustable shocks, and just recently changed the PP to Kings to PP to kings twice within a week. (I had some spare time). They are the most comfy on road on city streets, on country roads, on dirt roads, and off road. They offer more flex than any other coil, and are supported in Aust locally. And the shocks would have to be the best value for money mono tube shocks available, and if they actually are tuned for the coils and JK, sensational, and they offer great flex.
However the 2" coils will give you between 3 to 3.5" of lift without accessories. Bull bars and rear bars will bring that down. And PP offer all the other options you will need for this sized lift, LCA's, extended bump stops, brake lines, high steer etc. Try and get that from any other vendor in Australia????
PS. A 3" lift is exactly what the Unlimited needs, It needs more than 2" for appearance and underbody clearance. I only ever wanted 2", i now have 3" and it looks great?????

The Mopar springs are actually quite cheap, but they are also one of the stiffest around in my opinion, especially in a 2 door petrol. I have ended up with a set of RE (Rubicon Express) springs and shocks and in the 2 door I love them. They were rated as 2in, but found out that was for the 4 door.... in the 2 door they are rated as 3 inch. Which without steel bar work gave me 4inches in the front and 3.5inches in the rear..... I have since dropped the front an inch and it looks heaps better. I really only wanted about 2 to 2.5 inches.

So you definately want to ask around first as to what gave what lift in which vehicle, so you well get a good idea of the results.

Tom are you saying that you would rate the King springs over the PP? Would you recommend them for a CRD shorty?

SeaComms how did you "drop the front an inch"? You can't shorten the springs????????????????????
