Or I like Scarps idea in the centre consul but in front of the gearstick see mock up photo.

Like you the dealer fitted one of the redarc non proportional brake controlers
Hated it
Replaced it with a P3 controler and had it fitted into the cubby hole in front of the gear shifter

I have the TowPro, it is great with just the one small dial. I have the dial sort of under the steering wheel, easy to reach but out of the way. I have towed quite a few different trailers for work, and the auto function seems to work but is easy to swap to manual and dial up the braking power. My auto sparky did say it was hard finding space behind for the actual module though.

I have the new Redarc Tow pro, it works really well. I mounted it on the small trim panel above the start button.

jjgc, you just need to drill a bigger hole in the dash support to allow for the switch body, there is plenty of room in the cavity behind it. The problem I found with all the switch blanks is that there is still a full circuit board behind them, I wasn't brave enough to start trimming them back.

Cheers
