My XJ has now done over 50,000kms and I can get about 480 from a tank now, or at least did traveling on the Strzelecki at 100kmh, it seems to be about the average for me now when loaded up and traveling quite quickly yet at a constant spped. Around town 360 - 400 is more like it, depends how often I'm running late for the train that week.

Also i've never been able to get more than 65lts in the tank and have had the computer telling me 0kms to empty but still had that 10lts in the tank.

Cheers
Steve

I've only had mine for 2 weeks but the economy is TERRIBLE.
i was told that the first few months of the cars life usually pretty thirsty, something about it needs to be "run in" before it can perform properly...

maybe i was lied to..

With the trip computer saying 0km left and still having 10 ltrs i can understand that, as the mini trip computer will calculate that when the fuel tank is really giving you a warning and i assume it will say 0km just to be cautious.

However with this 19litrs/100km.. THIS IS REALLY SCARYING ME GUYS, IT HAS REALLY PUT ME OFF THE CHEROKEE. I think I will have to reconsider. So really the 14.8km/100ltrs is sort of a false advert hmmmm...I think I will have to look elsewhere thanks fellas for all your help I appreciate it. i thinkn im back to the drawing board.
