I have to impart the bad news that a multimeter continuity test will not rule out a bad wire/intermittent wire
I have had this, I piggy backed suspect wire, and it was ok
wiggling individual wires is something to try, (when it is running) or with an assistant when cranking
if wires have been heavily stretched or bent around a sharp corner, concentrate on the real suspects. If in doubt, snip out the suspect section, and solder in a new piece with heatshrink
