I believe ours is an alloy, and the tyre looks to be same as well. However, I will double check that for you tomorrow (Its 10:45pm, I'm not going out to the garage)...

Mine looks like a steel wheel, but of matching size. I bought a set of 5 when I got the new tyres but I won't be cycling through with the steel wheel. I did ask for a price on an alloy for the spare with the plan of throwing the steel on as an extra spare for when I hit some of the out of the way tracks... I don't remember the price I was quoted it was that bad... something like $1500 a wheel I think. Cheaper to not rotate the spare through :-/
