Default 2.7crd oil capacity

Just done an oil change on my 04 Grand 2.7crd. The book says oil capacity is 6.5 litres with a filter. Well at 6.5l it was just starting to show on the dipstick.. That was after I let it settle for a good ten minutes.

I added 500ml at a time and now I've put in 8 litres and its still not quite up to the max mark. WTF

What am I missing here.

Mine always took about 7.5, but depends on what you use as a measure, I have proper oil bottles, 1lt or 500ml jobs.

Same here, it's never 6.5 liters. I always order 8 and end up putting almost all of it in.
