yeah it was a good day - nothing hard, just a bit of a shake down. from what I could see, my exhaust never got close to anything, and that's without the spacer.

I like the 2.5 aev kit with drop bracket. Very happy with mine. I alway find the ome stuff is stiff... And most of the US stuff has had alot more R&D so they work better.

Hi Pete, I have the Teraflex 2.5" lift with Bilstein shocks and it is so much better than stock, there are members with the OME lift on here and some are happy, some are not but that all comes down to personal choice, what I like about Teraflex and AEV is they build for Jeep's not for Jeep's and Toyota's and Nissan's etc. I'm more comfortable that these guys know what they are doing. Once again it is a personal preference.

Where are you located? There are a heap of Jeep specialists all around the country that will match what you need to what you are planning on doing with the JK rather than just selling you a generic kit.

Check out my Ride(s)
Default

Just did the first 5 tyre rotation the new 285/70/17 Duratracs and in 9,000km the tyres on the road are down to an average 13.4mm tread depth in the centre. The unused spare was on 14.4mm. The outer tread area had only decreased approx 0.4mm average compared to the spare, indicating what I suspected, they were running to high so have dropped the pressure a little more.

Pretty happy with that!

Also after a lot of research and fact finding I have come to the conclusion that the average rolling diameter of most tyres is approx 96.5% of the actual outer diameter (which equates to pretty much the diameter of the steel belts). So I have re done my speedo / tyre / gear calculator to update the approx speedo readings based on 96.5% of the tyre calculated diameter.

Anyone interested can grab it from here - http://files.seacomms.com.au/Diff%20Ratios%20V1.4.xls

Hey mate, I bought my 2012 jk with an OME lift kit all ready installed. It has the sports shocks you mention and I would steer away from those shocks as they are way to harsh. The valving is wrong for many bumps in the road and shacks your teeth out. I am planning to change the suspension out but still not sure which way to go yet.

I've got the old man emu kit. To start with I really did not like it, it was too hard, drove in the piss and arb didn't include half of the stuff you need.
I got longer sway bar links and disconnects for the front, track bar bracket for the rear, synergy control arms to sort out a few things. It still rides a bit hard but it flexes ok, handles the rough stuff well too. When you have it loaded up with gear when I go away it rides very nicely, almost as if it was supposed to be that way normally. I have put 115000kms on the current setup and have not had any problems just yet. If I had to do it again I would go with something smoother..
