How to flush cooling system?

Does anyone know the best, quickest and easiest way of flushing out the cooling system of a 2001 XJ Cherokee VM 2.5 diesel? It's full of brown sludge (the overflow bottle) and I don't have the money to get it done properly at the moment so just want to make it as good as possible by removing the brown sludge and replacing with nice new green stuff. Vehicle is a 2001 XJ Jeep Cherokee VM diesel.

Not familiar with the diesel.
If similar to petrol: 1) flush heater core 2) flush engine and last 3) flush radiator
Google will give you plenty info on how-to's regarding flushing the heater core, etc.

Yerr LB or MM would probably give you the best answer as you have the VM.
I know on my 4.0 I use cooling system flush. It cleans mine out pretty well. I usually drain and fill it 2-3 times before adding the flush. This is not really needed but I like to see the brown in the clean water once the flush has done its trick. IMO if yours is that bad and the chemical flush is the go then I would suggest two bottles. Do it once and run it say for 30mins then repeat the process but maybe leave it in for an hour.

Needing a guide for undoing clamps/hoses?

Not sure if the VM is such a different horse, but mine are just spring clamps and hose (screw) clamps...if you need a guide for those, I'm not sure if you should dive in the coolant system flush...but maybe I misunderstood the question.

HAHA, yeah, I think he wants to know which location would be best, for drainage.
