Default ZJ: 1996 Jeep Laredo

Hey guys,
This is my first post one here and i was hoping some of you can help me out. I just bought a 1996 jeep Laredo 4 door, 4wd, with 87kmi. its at the dealer right now, ill put up pics asap. but i am a frequent camper. took my friends cj7 up a few times. i would love to be able to get mine up on some trails. I'm pretty sure the stock version would have some difficulties handling the terrain. i was wondering if anyone could help me pick out the parts i would need and a little bit of know-how to get this thing trail ready. i have a tight budget as it is, but i can dish out sum cash. Any help would be greatly appreciated. THANK YOU!

What is your budget and what sort of tracks do you mainly do?

Put some good AT or MT tyres on it.
Sway bar disconnects.

Those mods will make a big improvement over stock, see how that goes then maybe a small lift, 2" can be done pretty cheaply more than that can cause problems and will cost a lot more to do properly.

You can fit 30's with stock springs no problems, one or two of the guys have started with 31's but i wouldn't do it till you get a little bit more room under there.

Have Fun.
