I am 99.999999% certain it will be a diesel shaft as they are different to the petrol ones due to the manual g/box, to my knowledge the petrol ones are all the same length due to the same g/box configuration....

Well it had to happen one day !!!
Bumped the door lock switch on the jeep as I was about to close it & ended up locking the keys in the car last night.
The spare was in the glove box.
It was raining so I decided to worry about it once the rain stopped.
So just before decided to try & break in without breaking anything.
Managed to get the drivers window down about 2mm with a steel ruler & then put a piece of thick plastic in the gap.
Used a piece of fencing wire to hook the keys out of the ignition & place them on the seat.
Then moved them around a little so I could press the unlock button on the electronic key with the wire.
Guess what ??
It worked!!
Whole thing took about 10 minutes.
The spare is now safely in the house where no one could find it by chance.
Maybe I should go & buy a lottery ticket now !!!!
