We had our Trailhawk 12 month service carried out by the dealership a couple of weeks ago. I specifically asked for this bulletin to be addressed. The service itself was good - actually cost $110 less than expected - BUT - their response to this bulletin was that it wont need a new module - will just be a reflash - and they don't have the software yet. Buggered if i know, but the bulletin says to fit the CURRENT part number module - which sure as sh&t shouldn't be the same as one fitted in October 2014... and from what I can see, the part number on ours is certainly different to the current number listed in the bulletin...
I told them that we have the same sort of bulletins system in Aviation so basically don't try and BS me as I DO understand what the bulletin is saying and working out part numer / serial numbers applicability is a BIG part of my daily work
When they call about the flash being available I'll haveta jump up and down about the module as well.
Ours isn't disastrous, but auto does need careful handling - ie. gradual and predictable accelerator application - which does yield very lively performance but takes conscious effort - else if you shove it a bit firmly - ie. to try and grab a gap in traffic and get too excited with the pedal - it's likely to go "nah - die bastard!" and just sit there until you back off, let it have a second or so of reflection and then go again more gently. It also has the weird natch/grab thing on slopes (occasionally just on level ground too - I've tried hillstart assist on and off). In Snow mode it generally behaves like any other NORMAL automatic car - but you certainly see the difference in fuel economy.
