Ok I updated to 15.17.5 today and now I am unable to change states again.

Not thats its a real problem as I can still us voice recognition to change states. I also prefer google maps on my phone with the live traffic updates and the ability to reroute you if it finds a quicker way around slow traffic.

When my Limited was in for its 10K service they downgraded the software to 2014 version which fixed the problem. Im just going to leave it as is.

@Craigw83 did this help? Mine is 2 weeks old and on our first trip have noticed the same issue. Living in QLD and trying to navigate to NSW was a real pain! I suddenly remembered this thread while on the freeway and tried voice navigation. Whilst it could not understand me it did at least change to NSW.

Edit: Just jumped onto the uconnect website and it tells me I need to update to that latest version.... So I might try thay once I get back home and see if it fixes the problem.

Yeah they will just roll it back two versions for you, like they did for me, which did fixed the problem.

Still means the rest of the software is out of date, and as its not happening for everyone there must be some sort of problem. Thats now two versions which have done the exact same thing. Im going to leave it for now and just change states using voice recognition.

Anyone had any updates on this?
I took mine into the dealer today to fix this up. They told me they have to order a whole new uconnect unit. Seems excessive for what appears to be a software fault.

Not yet. Mine went back in last week for the second time for this and they were not able to resolve it again. They tried wiping then readding all sales codes then tried another update and still no go.

They have done a backup of all the files on the vehicle and sent it to FC Australia for further investigation and I am now awaiting the response.

Will keep everyone updated when I know more!

I don't know why they would have to replace the unit, because they fixed the problem for me when they rolled it back to a 2014 version. I have since updated it twice and lost the choose state selection on both versions. It has to be a software problem as it can be fixed by running old software.
