The only way I can fathom to overcome an immobilised vehicle would be to replace the Wireless Receiver Module with another that is already matched to a remote, press the remote and it should send the correct codes to the PCM to disable.
THIS HAS NOT BEEN TRIED BY ME (I don't have another module) and may leave you immobilised and under tow to the dealer.
After playing around, my immobiliser has changed to only start after the starter has been engaged and THEN the remote pressed but will still unlock normally .. this is after I attempted to look into the workings of the 4 on/off ign cycle and remote button functions ... something is not told to us ...... playing continues.

A couple of months ago someone posted a similar prob. All he did was got an second hand ECU which didn't have an imobiliser and put it in. Away he went and it has been fine ever since. He was able to source a OBD2 one locally which did not have the imobiliser function.

Regards A

Yup.. that too!
But who knows what other worms jump out of the tin, especially if you go to an earlier model PCM.
The OP was asking about the immobiliser functionality and how to disable, however he also has a Cruise light and no controls ... changed steering wheel maybe?

Maybe an idea to check for codes, with that cruise issue...

Default Immobilizer question (manual disarm)

The alarm can be bypassed, as I have bypassed mine, 98 Diesel Sport. After I got stuck and found I had no cranking live, lots if flashing lights and the horn going off.. I traced the wiring back from the starter motor to the alarm unit, then from the ignition switch to the alarm unit and linked them together, then rewired the alarm control/locking control unit, I have no remote fob or alarm function anymore.. But the immobiliser/security key reader cannot be disabled.. I believe this immobiliser unit is part of the Dash panel?

No, the PCM (ECU).

There are several systems in play here ... firstly the ones with the SKIM (Key Transponder) and then the others without and only the FOB. The OP does not mention the SKIM type or the alarm, only the FOB and immobiliser.

Note: the SKIM (security key reader) connects to the vehicles CCD bus and that makes the PCM the boss in control via those 2 little twisted wires running everywhere in the vehicle.
